Katie Mendoza

Katie joined Encore Glass in 2014 and has spent over a decade building her career in the wine and packaging industries.

As Director of Human Resources, she focuses on creating meaningful connections between people and purpose—supporting Encore’s growth through thoughtful leadership in hiring, retention, culture, and employee development. She’s been instrumental in shaping programs like the Outstanding Achiever Awards, Service Milestones, and comprehensive benefits offerings that reflect Encore’s commitment to its people.

Katie leads with a calm presence and a strong sense of integrity. She believes that great HR is about listening, communicating with clarity, and always acting with empathy. Whether navigating change or advocating for employees, she strives to build trust and foster a workplace where everyone feels valued.

A graduate of UC Davis, Katie is also certified in tools like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, CPI 260®, and Kolbe™, which support personal and team development. Outside of work, she is deeply passionate about supporting individuals with learning differences, particularly dyslexia. Her greatest joy is time spent with family—especially days on the water, cheering on her kids at swim meets, paddle boarding, or simply enjoying the outdoors together.
